To think the ANC was all set to anoint an idiot like this as the next President of South Africa ...
South African ex-Deputy President Jacob Zuma said he showered after sex with an HIV-positive woman, thinking this would reduce his risk of being infected.
This emerged as he was cross-questioned during his trial for rape. He denies rape but admits to consensual sex, and said he was ready to marry his accuser.Whatever doubts I might have entertained about Zuma's guilt disappeared with that final sentence: you don't go and propose marriage to a woman you haven't wronged after she hauls your behind into court on the charge of rape, especially not after it's been revealed she's HIV positive. As if the above details weren't absurd enough, there's also the following:
Mr Zuma - previously seen as a possible future president - retains considerable popularity. His supporters see the charge as a political conspiracy. If there is a "God", he certainly isn't showering his benevolence on South Africa right now: I bet Jacob Zuma could commit murder right in front of the court and still retain his popularity, that's just how tenacious the hold he has on his followers seems to be; the man is a crook, an idiot and almost certainly a rapist as well, and yet they're still behind him!
It's such a damn shame that the only political party with even a smidgeon of a chance of competing against the ANC is led by people too lacking in sense to accept that no white face has a prayer of running South Africa in the next 30 years.
PS: I've just uncovered this report which leaves me 110% convinced that Jacob Zuma raped his accuser.
Jacob Zuma believed the woman who accused him of rape was sending him sexual signals, Johannesburg High Court heard on Tuesday.Yeah, it told this peabrain to project his "needs" (what the rest of us call "desires") unto a woman who had the nerve to dress in an outfit this sex-crazed idiot had never seen before: if only she'd stuck to the few items she'd worn on meeting him previously! This ingenious little argument is as good an excuse to rape any woman one sees twice as I've ever seen - "Your honor, it's obvious she was gagging for it, as she changed her dress! I was only trying to help a damsel in distress!"And, he added, he had no problem having sexual intercourse with her, bearing in mind that she "had needs".
Zuma said the woman had never visited him wearing a skirt before. On the night of the alleged rape, she had arrived wearing a knee-length skirt.
"She had never in the past come to my house dressed in a skirt. Including times when I was living in Pretoria.
"When she came to me in a skirt after those talks I referred to earlier on, well, it told me something," he said.
What I find shocking about the article is not the alleged *Rape*, but the Shower issue.
For an ex-deputy President of SA to have taken a shower after having sex with a HIV-positive woman in the belief that this would in some way reduce the risk of him catching the disease is absolutly shocking.
This same guy at one time headed the South African government’s National Aids Council and the Moral Regeneration Campaign.
I am totally lost for words.I mean, in a country as big as SA, is this the best *Black* ANC can do?

Yes, you're right; in fact it was this moronic reasoning I was primarily responding to in selecting the title for this post. Such jaw-dropping stupidity from such a highly placed source is unnerving.

It's worth noting that Zuma's education only extended as far as primary school Standard 4 or Grade 6 level. He has received honourary doctorates but, well, to my mind those were awarded more for previous standing and not necessarily academic or technical ability.
The fact that, to my understanding, Thabo Mbeki has a Masters degree in economics and other smaller tertiary qualifications probably has a lot to do with his better stewardship of the nation. If Zuma was to have taken over as President I'm sure that the relative deterioration in the level of education of the president would have seen a similar sort of deterioration with the country.
Hopefully someone of similar stature to Cyril Ramaphosa or Tokyo Sexwale will instead be next in line.

Yes, Thabo Mbeki has a Masters degree in economics from the University of Sussex, which followed his undergraduate economics degree (by correspondence) at the University of London. He's quite an intelligent guy, and often underestimated.
Jacob Zuma on the other hand, as an idiot, and we are damn lucky that his political prospects have taken such a knock of late.
Yet we've come close. How can it be that a man that stupid almost became president?

he takes stupidity to all new levels. its pathetic.

Leave the man alone, He is now President. God has allowed it.Nothing on this earth happens without Gods approval.
No amount of words or deeds will change the situation.
In world history, there were many so-called educated Leaders who had and have a lousy reputation. They are still around, and who stops them! Ie.Mugabe?

I'm sure God is grateful that you've rushed to the defense of poor, little Jacob Zuma. How's a mere President of South Africa expected to defend himself in the face of the words of a mighty blogger?
If "God" has allowed Zuma's presidency, and nothing happens without the approval of "God", then I'm sure you appreciate that "God" has also approved my castigation of the corrupt, oversexed imbecile who has the fate of 45 million South Africans in his incompetent hands - yet strangely, for all your insistence on accepting the doings of "God", you don't seem very willing to simply accept the doings of "God" in my own case ...
