Is the title of this post in Japanese? because if so it's neat that I could figure out what it meant from my rudimentary knowledge of Chinese (though I wonder if it means something subtly different - I parsed it as "international culture"). One of the benefits of ideographical writing systems I suppose...

"Is the title of this post in Japanese?"

Yup.

"(though I wonder if it means something subtly different - I parsed it as "international culture")"

"Kokusaika" means "internationalization", so you're on the right track, though I imagine a longer sentence with hiragana in it might not quite translate so smoothly.

Andrew

Yea, I just looked up 化 on zhongwen.com and actually it means "transform" - I just got confused because 文化 means "culture." So actually if I really knew my Chinese I would have gotten it right!

Chuckles

国際化 = World Occasionization. :)

Malomas

"guo2ji4hua4" in Mandarin
