I'm currently rereading Within a Budding Grove, so it's rather fortuitous that I came across this interesting literary conceit by a fellow called Charles Mudede. Martha Stewart as a sort of vulgarized Proust? It's a bit of a stretch, but not altogether implausible; of course, unlike Queen Martha, Proust was notoriously generous and affable towards the help, and he never went to jail for securities fraud ...
I'm down with the comic strip on Martha.
