Want to watch quack self-styled experts on Africa at work? Ever been inclined to doubt that Godlesscapitalist is indeed a racist and junk-scientist? Go read this delightful comment thread! Look at the sort of insulting nonsense and ridiculous generalizations tolerated by this loathsome character and tell me that the following description of him and his devoted acolytes isn't right on the money:

Yes, I stand by every word in the above, because it's all true, "Godlesscapitalist." If you're going to present yourself as some sort of expert on genetics and population biology, shouldn't you know what the technical definition of heritability means without being reminded? If you want to be seriously taken as an objective researcher driven to his views purely by the weight of the evidence, shouldn't you avoid leaning on the work of quacks like Richard Lynn and J. Philippe Rushton, both of whom have been caught out "adjusting" the facts to fit their theses? If you want to show that you're not an illogical boob, shouldn't you try to refute an argument by pointing out where it goes wrong, rather than saying it was published in the Journal of Black Studies, as if that in itself made it invalid? How can anyone follow this thread and not take you for a loon and a quack? Why always go to bat for the rule of South Africa's National Party if you aren't a racist?

I've avoided commenting at GNXP for ages now, not because there was really anything stopping me from doing so (IP banning is trivial to evade when you know how), but because it just wasn't worth my time; after all, "Godlesscapitalist" had been promising for ages now that this summer would see the final publication of the HapMap that would shut all we naysayers up once and for all, so why not wait (and wait, and wait - we're still waiting!) till then to deliver my verdict? Reading that pathetic little thread of his talking about my "defecating" (if only I could - they deserve no better!) on his posts was the last straw, however; if he thinks he can have a nice little echo chamber to himself in which he and his fellow übermenschen can trot out rubbish about "tribes" and so forth without facing anything more than the meekest criticism, he'd better have all day to devote to comment banning, as it's trivial for me to appear to be writing from anywhere in the world I feel like pretending to be.

NB - I've saved a spare copy of the comment thread in question, just in case it gets altered in any way.

just to reiterate what i said on frank gibson's blog:
1) immigrants do not vote
2) immigrants cannot get public means-tested benefits until they have worked here for a minimum of 10 yrs.

as I was reminded on reading Stephen Oppenheimer's Out of Eden (a new book on human evolution) people in Pakistan and the Indian subcontinent are genetically closer to the oldest migrants out of African than Europeans and East Asians. I don't have the exact quote at hand but I thought this a delicious fact to point out to Godless who makes so much of his commonality with 'successful' Europeans. Not to mention that according to his God, Lynn, the average IQ of Indians is nothing to get excited over and is close to the level of Hispanics or lower
