Nutty Netizens Strike Again
I think it's a relatively safe indicator of out of control "patriotism" [sic] when chauvinistic netizens can push a woman like Grace Park to nearly level with someone like this on a "sexiest women golfers" list. Let's face it, the only reason Grace Park is on that list is due to tokenism: there does indeed exist a ridiculously sexy woman by the name "Grace Park", and she's even of Korean origin, but she sure ain't no golfer.
OK, now, I admit the netizen thing can be a bit frustrating, but let's not knock Grace Park (the golfer). She a good-looking woman, even if the Roman nose is a bit disconcerting. At any rate, some of the other six on the list aren't exactly supermodels, either. That Spanish one, for instance.

Grace Park, good-looking? Maybe I've been spoiled by recent over-exposure to super-hot women or something, but that's one point on which we'll have to agree to disagree: her nose is hardly a minor enough feature to be ignored in rating her looks, unlike, say, Dumbo ears on a supermodel. Anyway, I'd be much less willing to mark her as the token minority on this list if I weren't aware that there are shed-loads of attractive female golfers who don't have an outsized proboscis to detract from their features. Grace Park's presence on the list smacks of the same mindset that regularly gets the likes of Sandra Oh and Lucy Liu shoved unto lists of "most beautiful actresses" - if all one cares about is ticking off some token "diversity" checkbox, one might as well pick the most "exotic" member of the target group one can find just to be on the safe side. You see the same mentality in the fashion world too - see, e.g. the example of Lu Yan.

I'll grant that you do have a point with Paula Marti, however; someone must not have been paying attention when she made it onto the list ...

I am midway between Abiola and Robert here on Grace Park's appearance. I do agree with Abiola to the extent that Grace Park's ranking has been artificially inflated beyond her true worth by lemming-like nationalistic voting patterns. Still, she is not that unattractive relative to some of her middling peers in the voting contest. It could be my eye sight, Miss Park also seems to have gotten heavier and less attractive than when she broke onto the scene many years ago.
